Swansboro

Swansboro is just across the White Oak River from Cedar Point. It is a vibrant community that is closely connected to Jacksonville and the waterfront communities on the Intercoastal Waterway as well as Emerald Isle, just minutes away.  Some of the top attractions in the area are Hammocks Beach State Park and Bear Island and Shark Tooth Island. These are not to be missed of you are a kayaker or birder, and the beaches on Bear Island are wide and empty as they can only be accessed by boat - yours or the State Park ferries that run visitors from the Park visitor center to the island. Swansboro also offers restaurants and shops in the quaint waterfront historic quarter on on the Highway 24 strip as well as all that Emerald Isle offers just two bridges away.
